I got to see Melissa’s band live a few weeks ago. Here’s the full video from that night. I’d been trying to catch them for a while. I stuck around to see HammerFall for a second time and then got to see all the cameos Melissa did with Kamelot for the finale. She’s a dynamic performer and I highly recommend checking her out of you get the chance.

It’s so cool you got to meet Melissa and her band Ad Infinitum. Idk Melissa was Black but I s’pose countries outside of the US don’t put an emphasis on race which is refreshing actually. Just let people be and enjoy their music or enjoy the music one finds they like.

White and black people in America definitely subscribe to the “one-drop” rule, and that’s the way we are raised. My view of what black people are was more broad when I started this blog than it ended up being by the time I closed it. I don’t think I could’ve started this blog in today’s social environment, lol, it was definitely a product of it’s time. I’m not even sure Melissa sees herself as Black, but my being an American and seeing someone with my mom’s coloring and features, I’m definitely going to call them Black! 😀 Thanks for visiting!
