UTA happens to be one of my favorite bands, and I actually just got to meet them and see them live a few months ago. I absolutely love it when my interests collide like this.
I’m not aware of Thalia currently being in any bands, but subscribe to her on YouTube for more awesome covers like this.

Welcome to Black Women In Rock. Here, you can find information on black women in various music genres, all of which are related to rock. This project ran from 2011-2024. It is no longer being updated, but the information has been preserved. As long as I can pay for this domain, the site will never go down.
Almost all posts pre-2020 were pulled from the Black Women In Rock Tumblr page. Those posts have been embedded here, with easier ways to search content and access post categories and tags. Past that date, content is different between the Tumblr and WordPress versions of this blog.
NOTE: There is a bug where when you move onto the second page of content, the Tumblr embeds turn into links. Refreshing the page will load the content properly. Clicking on the link will lead you to the corresponding Tumblr blog post, which I guess is alright, as you can view the content one way or another. 😛
